Filing for personal bankruptcy while on welfare
I’ve enrolled with a bankruptcy company I am on welfare now for two years yet they demand 100 dollars a month to pay the bankruptcy fees on welfare is this right?
Do I have to pay the fees if i’m on social assistance?
Thank you

Although your Trustee is licensed by the Government of Canada, he/she is running a private business and he/she needs to get paid for the work. That’s how your Trustee can afford to pay its rent and employees.
Did you sign a document agreeing to pay them? If you can’t find it, ask them if they have a copy with your signature agreeing to pay them their fees for taking on your bankruptcy.
