Is it ok to keep my savings money as cash while bankrupt?

In my province, I can have a small savings for groceries that is protected by exemption. Am I required to keep it in a bank, or can I keep it at my home as cash?

As far as I’m aware, there’s nothing that requires you to keep cash in a bank as opposed to keeping it at home.

However, if a Trustee for whatever reason wanted to confirm that the cash is used for groceries, you’d best keep it in a bank where the transactions can be reviewed.
