Misleading Collection Letter
I have recently received a collection letter from a collection agency informing me that they have spoken to my employer.
1. I do not dispute the debt
2. I have been unemployed since January 2015 (34 months) with no savings, no assets, and no income and therefore unable to pay anything on the debt, and I refuse to borrow from friends to do so
Can a Collection Agency make such a claim? (as I am unemployed I have no employer)

If you’ve been unemployed for 34 months yet they’re claiming that they’ve spoken to your employer, then it appears that they’ve made an empty threat just to scare you into paying. Just ignore the letter.
